S.T.E.A.M.Fest was a blast. Special props go out to our sound guy, Robert Drake, www.laughingmatters.com. He made us sound good, was pleasant and professional, and even did some tasteful things with the lights.

Two steampunk events are on our horizon …
George, Dave, and Derek play jazz standards as the trio Kind of Blue (piano, trumpet, sax) at coffee houses and small parties. It’s a cocktail-party vibe, as opposed to the Moxie dance throwdown.
Kind of Blue features tight horn harmonies and understated cool licks. They play the Real Book repertoire, including several also done by Play It With Moxie. Sometimes other Moxes sit in.
Kind of Blue appears two Saturdays each month at the White Windmill on Buford Highway in Doraville. The next show is Saturday, January 28 at 8:00 PM. Find them on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/#!/kindofbluejazz.
